Ingredients
- 2–3 pounds pork ribs (baby back or spare ribs)
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- 1 cup honey
- ½ cup soy sauce (low sodium preferred)
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar (or apple cider vinegar)
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch + 2 tablespoons water (optional, for thickening)
- Green onions and sesame seeds, for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare the Ribs:
Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). Remove the thin membrane from the back of the ribs if needed.
Season both sides with salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder. - Bake the Ribs:
Place ribs on a baking sheet lined with foil. Cover tightly with foil and bake for 2.5 to 3 hours until tender. - Make the Honey Garlic Sauce:
While ribs are baking, combine honey, soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, and vinegar in a small saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a gentle simmer.
(Optional: Mix cornstarch and water, add to sauce to thicken.) Stir until glossy and slightly thickened. Set aside. - Glaze and Broil:
Once ribs are tender, remove from oven. Turn oven to broil.
Brush ribs generously with the honey garlic sauce.
Broil for 3–5 minutes until sticky and caramelized. Watch carefully to avoid burning. - Serve:
Slice ribs, drizzle with extra sauce, and sprinkle with green onions and sesame seeds. Serve hot!
