Sticky Honey Garlic Ribs Recipe

INGREDENT

  • 2 racks pork ribs (about 3–4 lbs)
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

For the Sticky Honey Garlic Sauce:

  • ½ cup honey
  • ¼ cup soy sauce (low sodium preferred)
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar (or apple cider vinegar)
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce (optional but adds depth)
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water (for thickening)
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp grated fresh ginger (optional for extra zing)

Instructions

  1. Preheat & Prep:
Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C). Remove the thin membrane from the back of the ribs and pat dry with paper towels.
  2. Season:
Rub ribs with olive oil, then season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  3. Bake Low & Slow:
Wrap the ribs tightly in foil and place on a baking sheet. Bake for 2.5 to 3 hours until tender.
  4. Make the Sauce:
In a saucepan over medium heat, combine honey, soy sauce, brown sugar, vinegar, hoisin sauce, garlic, and ginger. Simmer for 5 minutes. Mix cornstarch with water and stir into sauce. Cook until thickened.
  5. Broil to Finish:
Remove ribs from foil, brush generously with the sauce, and place under broiler (or grill) for 5–7 minutes until caramelized and sticky. Brush with more sauce halfway through for extra flavor.
  6. Serve:
Slice and serve warm, garnished with sesame seeds or green onions if desired.
