Spinach Stuffed Pastry RECIPE

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed if frozen)
  • 2 cups fresh spinach (chopped)
  • 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 clove garlic (minced)
  • 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp salt (optional, depending on the feta)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Sauté spinach in a pan over medium heat until wilted. Add minced garlic and cook for another minute. Let it cool.
  3. In a bowl, combine spinach, feta, cream cheese, black pepper, and salt. Mix well.
  4. Roll out puff pastry on a floured surface. Cut into squares or rectangles.
  5. Place a spoonful of spinach filling in the center of each piece. Fold over to form a triangle or rectangle. Press edges with a fork to seal.
  6. Brush with egg wash for a golden finish.
  7. Bake for 18–20 minutes, or until golden and puffed.
