Ingredients
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
- ½ cup (120ml) vegetable oil
- 1 cup (240ml) milk
- 1 ½ cups (190g) all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ¼ tsp salt
- 1 tbsp lemon juice or vinegar (optional, for extra softness)
Instructions
- Preheat & Prepare – Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C). Grease and line a cake pan with parchment paper.
- Beat Eggs & Sugar – In a large mixing bowl, beat eggs and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add Wet Ingredients – Slowly mix in the vegetable oil, milk, and vanilla extract.
- Sift Dry Ingredients – In a separate bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Combine – Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture. Avoid overmixing to keep the cake light.
- Bake – Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
