Ingredients
- 1 can of refrigerated crescent roll dough (8 oz)
- ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- Optional: ½ cup powdered sugar + 1–2 tsp milk for glaze
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Prepare Cinnamon Sugar: In a small bowl, mix together the sugar and cinnamon.
- Roll Out Dough: Unroll the crescent dough and separate it into triangles (if using crescent rolls) or roll into a rectangle.
- Butter the Dough: Brush the melted butter evenly over the dough surface.
- Add Cinnamon Sugar: Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture generously over the buttered dough.
- Roll Up: Starting at the wide end (or short side if rectangle), roll the dough tightly into a log.
- Slice: Cut the log into 1–1.5 inch pieces and place them cut-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake: Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.
- Optional Glaze: Mix powdered sugar with milk to make a simple glaze. Drizzle over warm roll-ups before serving.
Tips
- For extra gooeyness, add a small pat of butter inside each roll before rolling.
- You can use brown sugar instead of granulated sugar for a richer flavor.
- Serve warm for the softest texture.
- Try adding a few chopped nuts or raisins inside for a twist.
