Soft Cinnamon Sugar Roll-Ups

Ingredients

  • 1 can of refrigerated crescent roll dough (8 oz)
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • Optional: ½ cup powdered sugar + 1–2 tsp milk for glaze

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare Cinnamon Sugar: In a small bowl, mix together the sugar and cinnamon.
  3. Roll Out Dough: Unroll the crescent dough and separate it into triangles (if using crescent rolls) or roll into a rectangle.
  4. Butter the Dough: Brush the melted butter evenly over the dough surface.
  5. Add Cinnamon Sugar: Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture generously over the buttered dough.
  6. Roll Up: Starting at the wide end (or short side if rectangle), roll the dough tightly into a log.
  7. Slice: Cut the log into 1–1.5 inch pieces and place them cut-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  8. Bake: Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.
  9. Optional Glaze: Mix powdered sugar with milk to make a simple glaze. Drizzle over warm roll-ups before serving.

Tips

  • For extra gooeyness, add a small pat of butter inside each roll before rolling.
  • You can use brown sugar instead of granulated sugar for a richer flavor.
  • Serve warm for the softest texture.
  • Try adding a few chopped nuts or raisins inside for a twist.
