INGREDIENT
- Eggs
- Water
- Secret ingredient: Baking soda (½ teaspoon per quart of water)
INSTRUCTIONS
- Place eggs in a saucepan and cover with cold water (about 1 inch above the eggs).
- Add ½ teaspoon of baking soda per quart of water.
- Bring the water to a boil over medium-high heat.
- Once boiling, reduce heat slightly and cook for 10–12 minutes.
- Immediately transfer the eggs to an ice bath for at least 5 minutes.
- Gently tap, roll, and peel—watch the shells slip right off!
