Smoked Chicken Wings Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 3 pounds chicken wings, tips removed
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • Wood chips for smoking (hickory, mesquite, or applewood)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the smoker: Fill the smoker with wood chips and preheat to 225°F.
  2. Prepare the wings: In a large bowl, combine the smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, and cayenne pepper (if using). Add the chicken wings and toss to coat evenly.
  3. Smoke the wings: Place the wings in the smoker and cook for 1.5 to 2 hours, or until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F.
  4. Serve: Remove the wings from the smoker and serve immediately.

Tips:

  • For extra flavor, you can brush the wings with your favorite barbecue sauce during the last 30 minutes of smoking.
  • If you don’t have a smoker, you can bake the wings in a preheated oven at 350°F for 45 minutes to 1 hour, or until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F.
  • Serve the smoked chicken wings with your favorite dipping sauces, such as ranch dressing, blue cheese dressing, or hot sauce.
