Ingredients:
- 3 pounds chicken wings, tips removed
- 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- Wood chips for smoking (hickory, mesquite, or applewood)
Instructions:
- Prepare the smoker: Fill the smoker with wood chips and preheat to 225°F.
- Prepare the wings: In a large bowl, combine the smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, and cayenne pepper (if using). Add the chicken wings and toss to coat evenly.
- Smoke the wings: Place the wings in the smoker and cook for 1.5 to 2 hours, or until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F.
- Serve: Remove the wings from the smoker and serve immediately.
Tips:
- For extra flavor, you can brush the wings with your favorite barbecue sauce during the last 30 minutes of smoking.
- If you don’t have a smoker, you can bake the wings in a preheated oven at 350°F for 45 minutes to 1 hour, or until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F.
- Serve the smoked chicken wings with your favorite dipping sauces, such as ranch dressing, blue cheese dressing, or hot sauce.
