Ingredients
- 1 lb fettuccine or penne pasta
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 ½ cups grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast (optional, cut into cubes)
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 cup milk
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare the slow cooker: Lightly grease the inside of your slow cooker with butter or cooking spray.
- Add ingredients: Place the chicken (if using), heavy cream, chicken broth, garlic, salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and butter into the slow cooker. Stir to combine.
- Cook the base: Cover and cook on LOW for 3-4 hours or until the chicken is fully cooked and tender.
- Shred the chicken (if used): Once cooked, remove the chicken and shred it with two forks. Return it to the slow cooker.
- Add pasta & cheese: Stir in the uncooked pasta, Parmesan, and mozzarella cheese. Add milk and mix well.
- Final cooking: Cover and cook for an additional 30-45 minutes on LOW, stirring occasionally until the pasta is tender and the sauce is thick and creamy.
- Serve & garnish: Stir well, adjust seasoning if needed, and garnish with fresh parsley. Serve hot and enjoy!
