Ingredients
- 2 slices of bread
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/2 cup grated cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or your choice)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh herbs (optional, e.g., chives, parsley)
Instructions
- Prepare the Bread:
- Heat a skillet over medium heat. Spread butter on one side of each bread slice.
- Place the bread slices, buttered side down, in the skillet. Toast until golden brown, then flip and toast the other side if desired. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- Make the Omelet:
- In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper.
