Simple and delicious cabbage and egg breakfast dish

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cabbage, finely shredded
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or butter
  • ½ tsp salt (or to taste)
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • ¼ tsp paprika (optional)
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce (optional for extra flavor)
  • Fresh parsley or green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil or butter in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and sauté until soft and translucent.
  3. Add the minced garlic and cook for another 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Stir in the shredded cabbage and cook for 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until softened.
  5. Season with salt, black pepper, and paprika. Add soy sauce if using.
  6. Push the cabbage to one side of the pan and crack the eggs into the empty space.
  7. Scramble the eggs lightly and then mix them with the cabbage.
  8. Cook for another 1-2 minutes until eggs are fully set.
  9. Remove from heat and garnish with fresh parsley or green onions.
  10. Serve warm and enjoy!
