📝 Ingredients

For Crispy Beef:

  • 1 egg white
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • Oil for frying

For Stir-Fry Sauce:

  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp dark soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp chili garlic sauce
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp honey or sugar
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 1 tsp vinegar

Vegetables & Aromatics:

  • 1 onion (sliced)
  • 1 bell pepper (sliced)
  • 1 tbsp garlic (minced)
  • 1 tbsp ginger (minced)
  • 2–3 dried red chilies
  • 1 tsp Sichuan peppercorns (optional)
  • Spring onions for garnish

  1. In a bowl, mix beef with egg white, cornflour, soy sauce, and black pepper. Rest for 10 minutes.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and deep-fry beef until golden and crispy. Remove and drain.
  3. In another pan, heat 2 tbsp oil. Add garlic, ginger, dried chilies, and Sichuan peppercorns. Fry until fragrant.
  4. Add onion and bell pepper. Stir-fry for 2 minutes.
  5. Pour in prepared sauce and cook until slightly thick.
  6. Add crispy beef and toss well to coat evenly.
