📝 Ingredients
For Crispy Beef:
- 300g beef (sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced)
- 2 tbsp cornflour (cornstarch)
- 1 egg white
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- ½ tsp black pepper
- Oil for frying
For Stir-Fry Sauce:
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp dark soy sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp chili garlic sauce
- 1 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tbsp honey or sugar
- 2 tbsp water
- 1 tsp vinegar
Vegetables & Aromatics:
- 1 onion (sliced)
- 1 bell pepper (sliced)
- 1 tbsp garlic (minced)
- 1 tbsp ginger (minced)
- 2–3 dried red chilies
- 1 tsp Sichuan peppercorns (optional)
- Spring onions for garnish
👩🍳 Instructions:
- In a bowl, mix beef with egg white, cornflour, soy sauce, and black pepper. Rest for 10 minutes.
- Heat oil in a pan and deep-fry beef until golden and crispy. Remove and drain.
- In another pan, heat 2 tbsp oil. Add garlic, ginger, dried chilies, and Sichuan peppercorns. Fry until fragrant.
- Add onion and bell pepper. Stir-fry for 2 minutes.
- Pour in prepared sauce and cook until slightly thick.
- Add crispy beef and toss well to coat evenly.
- Garnish with spring onions and serve hot with rice or noodles.
