Ingredients
- 1 large piece of fresh ginger (about 2 inches)
- 1 lemon (organic if possible)
- 3–4 garlic cloves
- 2 cups warm water
- 1–2 teaspoons honey (optional, for taste)
Instructions
- Prepare the ingredients: Peel the ginger and garlic cloves. Slice the ginger into thin pieces. Cut the lemon in half and remove any seeds.
- Crush the garlic: Lightly crush the garlic cloves to release their beneficial compounds.
- Make the infusion: In a pot, add 2 cups of water and bring it to a gentle boil. Add the sliced ginger and crushed garlic. Reduce the heat and let it simmer for 5–10 minutes.
- Add lemon: Remove the pot from heat. Squeeze the juice of half the lemon into the mixture. Slice the other half and add it in as well for extra flavor.
