Ingredients
- 1 large piece of fresh ginger (about 2–3 inches)
- 4 cups (1 liter) of water
- 1–2 tablespoons honey (optional)
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice (optional)
Instructions
- Wash the ginger thoroughly. Peel it if you prefer, then slice it thinly.
- In a pot, add the sliced ginger and water.
- Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
- Once boiling, reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 10–15 minutes.
- Remove from heat. Strain the ginger pieces out if you like.
- Add honey and lemon juice if desired, stir well.
- Pour into a cup and drink warm.
Tip:
