INGREDIENTS
- 1 clove of garlic (peeled)
- 1 tsp baking soda
- A pinch of salt
- A few drops of water (optional, for paste consistency)
- Optional: 2–3 drops of coconut oil or mint essential oil (for better taste)
INSTRUCTIONS
- Crush the garlic clove into a smooth paste using a mortar and pestle or the back of a spoon.
- Mix in the baking soda and salt. Add a few drops of water if needed to form a paste.
- Apply the mixture gently onto your teeth using a soft-bristled toothbrush.
- Brush for only 2 minutes, focusing on areas with tartar or discoloration.
- Rinse thoroughly with water.
- Use once or twice a week — not daily — to avoid over-scrubbing enamel.
Note:
This natural remedy can help reduce tartar and lighten surface stains, but it should never replace regular dental checkups or professional cleanings. Garlic has antibacterial properties, and baking soda gently scrubs surface stains — but always use with care.
