Sausage Cream Cheese Crescents

Ingredients

  • 1 pound breakfast sausage (mild or spicy)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 (8 oz) cans refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • Optional: shredded cheddar cheese (for extra cheesiness)
  • Optional: chopped green onions or parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until browned and fully cooked. Drain any excess grease.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the cooked sausage with the softened cream cheese. Mix until well blended. (Add shredded cheese if using.)
  4. Unroll the crescent dough and separate it into triangles.
  5. Place a spoonful of the sausage-cream cheese mixture on the wide end of each triangle.
  6. Roll up each triangle, starting from the wide end and rolling toward the point.
  7. Arrange the crescents on the prepared baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until golden brown.
  9. (Optional) Sprinkle with chopped green onions or parsley before serving.
