Ingredients

  • 1 (14.75 oz) can salmon, drained and flaked
  • 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup celery, finely chopped (optional for extra crunch)
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 cup breadcrumbs or crushed crackers
  • 1 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1–2 tbsp oil for frying (like vegetable or olive oil)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the salmon, onion, celery, egg, breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, mustard, and seasonings. Mix well until fully combined.
  2. Form mixture into 4–6 patties, depending on your preferred size.
  3. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  4. Place patties in the skillet and cook for 3–4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Remove and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
  6. Serve hot with a side salad, tartar sauce, or tucked in a sandwich bun!

Want a twist on it? I can add some lemon zest, herbs, or even make them spicy!
