Ingredients
- 1 (14.75 oz) can salmon, drained and flaked
- 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup celery, finely chopped (optional for extra crunch)
- 1 egg
- 1/3 cup breadcrumbs or crushed crackers
- 1 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1–2 tbsp oil for frying (like vegetable or olive oil)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the salmon, onion, celery, egg, breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, mustard, and seasonings. Mix well until fully combined.
- Form mixture into 4–6 patties, depending on your preferred size.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Place patties in the skillet and cook for 3–4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
- Serve hot with a side salad, tartar sauce, or tucked in a sandwich bun!
