Ingredients
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- Fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Roast the garlic: In a small oven-safe dish, combine the minced garlic and olive oil. Place in the preheated oven and roast for about 10 minutes until the garlic is soft and fragrant.
- Make the cream sauce: In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the roasted garlic mixture and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
- Add cream and Parmesan: Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer, stirring occasionally. Add the Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Stir until the cheese has fully melted and the sauce is creamy.
- Simmer: Let the sauce simmer for 5-7 minutes, or until it thickens to your desired consistency. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
- Serve: Pour the creamy Parmesan sauce over pasta, roasted vegetables, or your favorite dish. Garnish with fresh parsley for added flavor and color.
