They are so delicious! My kids love these!
Ingredients:
- 2 large eggs
- 2 slices of bread (any kind you like)
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/2 cup shredded cheese
- 1 tsp butter or oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: chopped veggies (tomatoes, bell peppers) or cooked bacon/sausage
Instructions:
- Beat the eggs: In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, and pepper until smooth.
- Prepare the bread: Lightly butter a pan over medium heat. Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, coating both sides.
- Cook: Place the dipped bread on the pan. Sprinkle cheese and optional toppings on top. Cook 2–3 minutes per side, until golden brown and the cheese melts.
- Serve: Cut into halves or quarters and serve warm. Perfect with a glass of juice or milk.
Tips:
- For a fluffier texture, separate the egg whites and beat them before folding them back in.
- Use whole-grain or multigrain bread for a healthier option.
- Kids love it with fun shapes — use cookie cutters for bread slices!
