Ingredients
- 1 lb (450 g) raw ground beef
- 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1 packet onion soup mix (about 1 oz)
- 1 cup beef broth
- 8 oz egg noodles (cooked separately, for serving) – optional
Instructions
- Prepare the slow cooker
Place the raw ground beef evenly in the bottom of your slow cooker. You don’t need to brown it first — the slow cooker will handle that for you. - Add the flavor base
Sprinkle the onion soup mix evenly over the beef. - Add creaminess
Pour the condensed cream of mushroom soup over the top. Spread it lightly to cover the beef. - Add liquid
Pour in the beef broth around the edges so the soup mixture stays mostly on top. - Cook
Cover and cook on LOW for 6–8 hours or on HIGH for 3–4 hours, until the beef is fully cooked and tender. - Break up & mix
Use a spoon to break up the beef into small crumbles and stir everything together until creamy and well combined. - Serve
Serve over cooked egg noodles, rice, or mashed potatoes for a warm, hearty comfort meal.
💡 Tip: For extra richness, stir in ½ cup sour cream right before serving.
