Puffy Crusted Chicken

Ingredients

  • 2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Chicken – Pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness for even cooking. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. Set Up Breading Station – In three separate bowls, place flour in the first, whisk eggs with milk in the second, and mix panko, Parmesan, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika in the third.
  3. Bread the Chicken – Dredge each chicken breast in the flour, then dip into the egg mixture, and finally coat with the panko mixture, pressing to adhere.
  4. Fry the Chicken – Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Fry the chicken for about 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. Drain and Serve – Transfer to a plate lined with paper towels to remove excess oil. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce or side dish.
