Ingredients
- 2 medium fresh beets (peeled and grated or finely chopped)
- 3 cups whole milk
- 2–3 tablespoons sugar (adjust to taste)
Instructions
- In a medium pot, bring the milk to a gentle boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally to prevent burning.
- Once the milk starts to boil, add the grated beets and stir well.
- Reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer for about 10–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the beets are tender and the milk takes on a beautiful pink color.
- Add sugar to taste and stir until fully dissolved.
- Serve warm in a mug or bowl — or chill it for a cold, refreshing treat!
