- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 6 large eggs, room temperature
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup whole milk, room temperature
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 10-inch bundt pan or a loaf pan.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar together using an electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk. Start and finish with the flour mixture. Mix just until combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly.
- Bake for 60-70 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
