Ingredients:

  • 4 medium-sized potatoes (peeled and grated)
  • 1 small onion (grated or finely chopped)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika (optional)
  • Oil for frying

Instructions:

  1. Grate the potatoes and squeeze out excess water using a clean kitchen towel.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the grated potatoes, onion, eggs, flour, baking powder, salt, pepper, and paprika until well combined.
  3. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  4. Scoop small portions of the potato mixture and flatten them slightly to form fritters.
  5. Fry the fritters in batches, about 3–4 minutes per side, until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Remove the fritters from the pan and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil.
  7. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce or as a side dish.
