    • 6 boneless pork chops (1 inch thick)
    • Salt and pepper to taste
    • Olive oil
    • Your favorite seasonings (e.g., garlic powder, onion powder, paprika)
  • For the Scalloped Potatoes:
    • 4 large potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
    • 1 onion, thinly sliced
    • 4 cups shredded cheddar cheese
    • 3 cups milk
    • 1/2 cup butter, melted
    • 1/4 teaspoon salt
    • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven: Set your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Season pork chops: Season the pork chops with salt, pepper, and your desired seasonings.
  3. Brown pork chops: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Brown the pork chops on both sides until golden brown.
  4. Prepare potatoes: In a large bowl, combine the sliced potatoes, onion, cheese, milk, melted butter, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  5. Assemble: Transfer the potato mixture to a 9×13 inch baking dish. Top with the browned pork chops.
  6. Bake: Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the pork chops are cooked through.
  7. Serve: Remove the foil and let the dish rest for a few minutes before serving.

Tips:

  • For extra flavor, consider marinating the pork chops in your favorite marinade before cooking.
  • If you prefer a creamier sauce, you can add a bit of heavy cream to the potato mixture.
  • You can also add other vegetables to the scalloped potatoes, such as broccoli or carrots.

Enjoy your delicious and hearty meal!
