Philly Steak Cheese Fries

Ingredients

  • 1 lb thinly sliced ribeye steak (or sirloin)
  • 1 bag frozen French fries (or homemade)
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 1 cup shredded provolone or mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup Cheez Whiz or nacho cheese sauce (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional: garlic powder, paprika

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Fries:
Cook the French fries according to package directions (bake or air fry until crispy). Season with salt.
  2. Cook the Steak:
While the fries cook, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add sliced steak, season with salt and pepper (and garlic powder if using), and cook for 3–4 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
  3. Sauté Veggies:
In the same skillet, add sliced onions and bell peppers. Cook for 5–7 minutes until softened and slightly caramelized.
  4. Assemble the Fries:
On a baking sheet or oven-safe platter, layer the cooked fries, top with cooked steak, sautéed peppers and onions, and sprinkle shredded cheese evenly over the top.
  5. Melt the Cheese:
Place under the broiler for 2–3 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Finish & Serve:
Drizzle with warm Cheez Whiz or nacho cheese sauce if you like extra cheesiness. Serve immediately and enjoy your Philly Steak Cheese Fries!
