- 1/2 pound ribeye steak or thinly sliced beef
- 1 small onion, thinly sliced
- 1 small green bell pepper, thinly sliced
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 cup shredded provolone cheese (or cheese sauce)
- Optional: jalapeños, mushrooms, or hot sauce for topping
Instructions
- Prepare Fries:
- Bake or air fry the French fries according to the package directions until golden and crispy. Set aside.
- Cook the Steak:
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the sliced onions and bell peppers. Sauté until soft and caramelized, about 5–7 minutes.
- Push veggies to the side, add steak slices, season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Cook until browned and cooked through (2–3 minutes).
- Assemble:
- Spread cooked fries on a large baking sheet or platter.
- Top evenly with the cooked steak, peppers, and onions.
- Sprinkle provolone cheese over the top or drizzle with cheese sauce.
- Melt Cheese:
- Place the tray under the broiler for 1–2 minutes (watch carefully!) until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Serve:
- Garnish with optional toppings like jalapeños or hot sauce.
