Ingredients

  • 1 bag frozen French fries (or homemade fries)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 pound ribeye steak or thinly sliced beef
  • 1 small onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 small green bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 cup shredded provolone cheese (or cheese sauce)
  • Optional: jalapeños, mushrooms, or hot sauce for topping

Instructions

  1. Prepare Fries:
    • Bake or air fry the French fries according to the package directions until golden and crispy. Set aside.
  2. Cook the Steak:
    • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
    • Add the sliced onions and bell peppers. Sauté until soft and caramelized, about 5–7 minutes.
    • Push veggies to the side, add steak slices, season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Cook until browned and cooked through (2–3 minutes).
  3. Assemble:
    • Spread cooked fries on a large baking sheet or platter.
    • Top evenly with the cooked steak, peppers, and onions.
    • Sprinkle provolone cheese over the top or drizzle with cheese sauce.
  4. Melt Cheese:
    • Place the tray under the broiler for 1–2 minutes (watch carefully!) until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  5. Serve:
    • Garnish with optional toppings like jalapeños or hot sauce.
    • Serve hot and enjoy!
