Ingredients

  • 6 large potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1 packet Lipton Onion Soup Mix
  • 1/3 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth or water
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish or a large oven-safe pan.
  3. Layer the sliced potatoes evenly in the dish.
  4. In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, onion soup mix, and chicken broth (or water).
  5. Pour the mixture evenly over the potatoes.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  8. Remove foil, sprinkle with cheese (if using), and bake uncovered for another 15–20 minutes, or until potatoes are tender and golden.
  9. Serve hot and enjoy this cozy, no-fuss dish!
