Pecan Pie Brownies Recipe

INGREDENT

For the Brownie Layer:

  • 1 box (18–19 oz) brownie mix (plus ingredients listed on box – usually eggs, oil, water)
or use homemade brownies if preferred

For the Pecan Pie Topping:

  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 cup brown sugar (packed)
  • 4 large eggs
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Brownie Base:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish or line with parchment paper.
Prepare the brownie batter according to the package or homemade recipe. Pour into the pan and bake for 20–25 minutes, until the top is just set (not fully baked).
  2. Make the Pecan Pie Topping:
While brownies are baking, whisk together corn syrup, brown sugar, eggs, melted butter, vanilla, and salt in a large bowl. Stir in the chopped pecans.
  3. Layer & Finish Baking:
Remove brownies from the oven and carefully pour the pecan mixture evenly over the top.
Return to the oven and bake for an additional 30–35 minutes, or until the topping is set and no longer jiggles in the center.
  4. Cool Completely:
Allow to cool at room temperature for at least 2 hours, then refrigerate for clean slicing.
  5. Slice & Serve:
Cut into squares and enjoy! These brownies are rich, fudgy, and topped with a gooey, nutty pecan pie layer.
