Ingredients

  • 4 cups fresh or canned peaches (drained if canned)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare the Peaches – If using fresh peaches, peel and slice them. Mix with 1/4 cup sugar and set aside.
  3. Melt the Butter – Pour melted butter into a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  4. Make the Batter – In a bowl, whisk together flour, remaining sugar, baking powder, salt, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
  5. Assemble – Pour the batter over the melted butter (do not stir). Evenly spread peaches on top (the batter will rise around them).
  6. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly.
