Ingredients
- 4 cups fresh or canned peaches (drained if canned)
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Prepare the Peaches – If using fresh peaches, peel and slice them. Mix with 1/4 cup sugar and set aside.
- Melt the Butter – Pour melted butter into a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Make the Batter – In a bowl, whisk together flour, remaining sugar, baking powder, salt, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
- Assemble – Pour the batter over the melted butter (do not stir). Evenly spread peaches on top (the batter will rise around them).
- Bake for 40-45 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly.
- Serve Warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
