Ingredients
- 4 medium-sized potatoes (russet or Yukon gold work great), halved
- 3 tbsp melted butter
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning (optional)
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven:
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking dish or sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it. - Prepare Cheese Mixture:
In a small bowl, combine the Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. - Add Butter & Cheese:
Pour the melted butter into the baking dish. Evenly sprinkle the cheese mixture over the melted butter. - Add Potatoes:
Place the potato halves cut-side down onto the cheese-butter mixture. Press gently to help the cheese stick. - Bake:
Bake for 35–40 minutes or until the potatoes are fork-tender and the Parmesan has formed a golden, crispy crust. - Cool Slightly & Serve:
Let them cool for a few minutes before using a spatula to carefully lift them from the dish. Sprinkle with chopped parsley and serve warm.
Tip: These make a perfect side dish for grilled chicken, steak, or roasted veggies.
