As part of Pakistan’s Civil Armed Forces, the Pakistan Coast Guards enforce maritime law. In 1971 it was founded. Karachi serves as the main office for the PCG.

The Pakistani military oversees and controls the river and its coastal regions in order to combat criminal activities including drug trafficking, human trafficking, smuggling, and illegal immigration.

The Pakistan Coast Guard will fill open positions with citizens of Pakistan in accordance with the established quotas for the provinces of Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Balochistan.
