Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a doughnut pan with non-stick spray or butter.
- Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon (if using).
- Combine Wet Ingredients: In another bowl, whisk the milk, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Make the Batter: Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and gently mix until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Fill the Pan: Spoon or pipe the batter into the prepared doughnut pan, filling each cavity about 3/4 full.
- Bake: Bake for 10–12 minutes or until the doughnuts are lightly golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool: Let the doughnuts cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
- Add Topping: Brush warm doughnuts with melted butter and dip in cinnamon sugar, or drizzle with your favorite glaze.
