Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Optional: 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon (for extra flavor)
  • For topping: melted butter and cinnamon sugar or glaze of your choice

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a doughnut pan with non-stick spray or butter.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon (if using).
  3. Combine Wet Ingredients: In another bowl, whisk the milk, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Make the Batter: Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and gently mix until just combined. Do not overmix.
  5. Fill the Pan: Spoon or pipe the batter into the prepared doughnut pan, filling each cavity about 3/4 full.
  6. Bake: Bake for 10–12 minutes or until the doughnuts are lightly golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Cool: Let the doughnuts cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
  8. Add Topping: Brush warm doughnuts with melted butter and dip in cinnamon sugar, or drizzle with your favorite glaze.
