Oven Baked Chicken Wings

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs chicken wings (separated into flats and drumettes, tips removed)
  • 1 tbsp baking powder (NOT baking soda)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika (or regular paprika)
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • Optional: your favorite wing sauce (Buffalo, BBQ, honey garlic, etc.)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top. Lightly spray the rack with nonstick spray.
  2. Pat the chicken wings very dry with paper towels—this helps them get crispy.
  3. In a large bowl, mix together the baking powder, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and pepper.
  4. Add the wings to the bowl and toss well to coat evenly with the seasoning mixture.
  5. Arrange the wings in a single layer on the prepared rack.
  6. Bake for 45–50 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the wings are golden brown and crispy.
  7. Optional: Toss the baked wings in your favorite sauce before serving, or serve plain with dips like ranch or blue cheese.

Enjoy your crispy, oven-baked chicken wings!
