Ingredients
- 2 lbs chicken wings (separated into flats and drumettes, tips removed)
- 1 tbsp baking powder (NOT baking soda)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika (or regular paprika)
- ½ tsp black pepper
- Optional: your favorite wing sauce (Buffalo, BBQ, honey garlic, etc.)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top. Lightly spray the rack with nonstick spray.
- Pat the chicken wings very dry with paper towels—this helps them get crispy.
- In a large bowl, mix together the baking powder, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and pepper.
- Add the wings to the bowl and toss well to coat evenly with the seasoning mixture.
- Arrange the wings in a single layer on the prepared rack.
- Bake for 45–50 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the wings are golden brown and crispy.
- Optional: Toss the baked wings in your favorite sauce before serving, or serve plain with dips like ranch or blue cheese.
Enjoy your crispy, oven-baked chicken wings!
