Ingredients
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup orange juice (freshly squeezed is best)
- Zest of 1 orange
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup graham cracker crumbs (optional for coating)
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar (optional for dusting)
Instructions
- Melt the White Chocolate: In a heatproof bowl, combine the white chocolate chips and heavy cream. Melt them together by placing the bowl over a pot of simmering water (double boiler method) or microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth and melted.
- Add Orange Flavor: Stir in the freshly squeezed orange juice, orange zest, and vanilla extract into the melted chocolate mixture. Mix until fully incorporated.
- Chill the Mixture: Pour the mixture into a shallow dish or pan and refrigerate for about 2 hours or until firm enough to scoop.
- Shape the Truffles: Once the mixture is firm, scoop out small portions using a spoon or melon baller and roll them into balls using your hands.
- Coat the Truffles: If you like, roll the truffles in graham cracker crumbs for a fun “creamsicle crust” effect. Alternatively, you can lightly dust them with powdered sugar for a smooth finish.
- Chill Again: Place the rolled truffles on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and refrigerate again for about 30 minutes to set.
- Serve & Enjoy: Once the truffles are firm, they are ready to serve. Enjoy these creamy, citrusy treats!
Feel free to adjust the orange juice and zest levels to your taste!
