Ingredients
- 1 box yellow cake mix
- ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 large egg
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 cups powdered sugar
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Make the Crust: In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, melted butter, and 1 egg. Mix until a soft dough forms. Press evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
- Make the Filling: In another bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Add the remaining 2 eggs and vanilla extract; mix well. Gradually add powdered sugar and beat until smooth and creamy.
- Assemble: Pour the cream cheese mixture over the crust and spread evenly.
- Bake: Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown but the center is slightly gooey (do not overbake).
- Cool & Serve: Allow to cool completely before cutting into bars. Enjoy!
