- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (or crushed crackers)
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 cup ketchup (for topping)
- 1/4 cup brown sugar (for topping, optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare the Meatloaf Mixture:

- Shape the Meatloaf:
- Transfer the meat mixture into a loaf pan and shape it into a loaf, or form it by hand and place it on a lined baking sheet.
- Topping (Optional):
- In a small bowl, mix the ketchup with brown sugar if you want a sweet topping. Spread this mixture evenly over the top of the meatloaf.
- Bake:
- Place the meatloaf in the preheated oven and bake for 1 hour, or until the meatloaf reaches an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C).
- Rest and Serve:
- Once the meatloaf is cooked, let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Enjoy your old-fashioned meatloaf! You can serve it with mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or a simple salad.
