Ingredients
- ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
- 1 cup whole milk
- ¾ cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 4 large eggs
- Optional: Powdered sugar or honey for serving
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 12-cup muffin tin generously with butter or nonstick spray.
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the butter and milk. Bring to a boil.
- Once boiling, remove from heat and quickly stir in the flour, sugar, and salt all at once. Stir vigorously until the mixture forms a smooth ball and pulls away from the sides of the pan.
- Let the dough cool for about 5 minutes. Then beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition until smooth and glossy.
- Spoon the batter evenly into the prepared muffin cups, filling each about halfway.
- Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until the puffs are golden brown and puffed up.
- Serve warm, optionally dusted with powdered sugar or drizzled with honey.
Tip: Do not open the oven while baking—this may cause them to collapse.
