Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp oil or melted butter
- 3/4 cup warm water (adjust as needed)
- Optional: herbs, garlic powder, or cheese for flavor
Instructions
- Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. - Add Wet Ingredients
Add oil and warm water. Stir until a dough forms. If the dough is too sticky, sprinkle in a bit more flour. - Knead the Dough
Transfer to a floured surface and knead for about 5 minutes until smooth. - Rest
Cover the dough and let it rest for 20 minutes. - Shape the Bread
Divide into 4–6 portions and flatten into discs about 1/2 inch thick. - Heat the Pan
Preheat a nonstick or cast-iron skillet over medium heat. Lightly grease if needed. - Cook
Place dough discs in the hot skillet. Cook each side for about 3–5 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through. - Serve Warm
Let cool slightly, then enjoy with butter, jam, or as sandwich bread!
