Ingredients
- 3 cups (375g) all-purpose flour (or bread flour)
- 1 ½ cups (360ml) warm water
- 2 tsp instant yeast (or active dry yeast)
- 1 tsp sugar (to activate yeast)
- 1 tsp salt
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine warm water, yeast, and sugar. Stir and let it sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.
- Add flour and salt into the yeast mixture. Mix with a spoon until a sticky dough forms (no kneading required).
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a kitchen towel. Let the dough rise for 1–2 hours, or until it doubles in size.
- Once risen, stir lightly to deflate the dough, then transfer it into a greased loaf pan (or shape into a round and place on a baking tray lined with parchment).
- Let it rest for another 20–30 minutes while preheating the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.
- Remove from the oven, let it cool slightly, then slice and enjoy!
Do you want me to make this a soft sandwich-style bread or a crusty artisan-style bread version?
