- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsweetened applesauce

- 2 large eggs

- ½ tsp salt
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- In another bowl, beat the eggs, then add sugar, oil, applesauce, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
- Gradually stir the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Fold in nuts or raisins if using.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 45–55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
