Ingredients
- 1 box chocolate cake mix (or homemade chocolate cake batter)
- 1 cup Nestlé Toll House semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
- 1 cup sour cream
- 4 large eggs
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 (3.9 oz) box instant chocolate pudding mix
- 1/2 cup milk
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13-inch pan or a Bundt pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, pudding mix, sour cream, eggs, oil, and milk. Beat until smooth and well blended.
- Stir in the chocolate chips (and walnuts if using).
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 40–45 minutes (for 9×13 pan) or 50–55 minutes (for Bundt pan), until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool before slicing.
- Optional: Dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with melted chocolate for extra indulgence.
Would you like me to also include a frosting recipe (like a Toll House chocolate ganache or buttercream) to go with it?
