Ingredients

  • 5 lemons (preferably organic)
  • 5 cloves of garlic
  • 1 small piece of ginger (about 1 inch)
  • 4 cups (1 liter) of water
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tbsp honey (optional, for taste)

Instructions

  1. Wash the lemons thoroughly and cut them into slices. Keep the peel on.
  2. Peel the garlic cloves and slice them thinly.
  3. Peel and grate the ginger.
  4. In a pot, bring the water to a gentle boil. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
  5. Add the lemon slices, garlic, and ginger to the warm water. Let it steep for 30–60 minutes.
  6. Strain the mixture and add apple cider vinegar and honey (if using). Stir well.
  7. Pour into a glass jar or bottle and store in the refrigerator.
  8. Drink 1/2 cup on an empty stomach in the morning and another 1/2 cup before dinner.
