Natural Banana Candy using only 4 ingredients—perfect for using up overripe bananas

Ingredients

  • 3 overripe bananas (the riper, the sweeter)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice (prevents browning and adds a slight tang)
  • 1–2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup (optional, adjust for sweetness)
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional, for extra flavor)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°F (95°C) or set your dehydrator to low.
  2. Peel and mash the bananas in a bowl until smooth.
  3. Stir in the lemon juice, sweetener (if using), and cinnamon.
  4. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat. Spread the banana mixture thinly and evenly (about 1/8 inch thick).
  5. Bake in the oven for 2–3 hours, or until the mixture is no longer sticky and peels easily from the parchment. Flip halfway through if needed.
  6. Let it cool completely, then cut or roll into strips.
  7. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week.

This chewy, naturally sweet treat is great for kids and adults alike!
