Ingredients

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix (your favorite brand)
  • 1 package (3.9 oz) instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 4 large eggs
  • ½ cup warm water
  • 2 cups Nestle Toll House semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • Optional: powdered sugar for dusting, chocolate ganache for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a Bundt cake pan or 9×13 baking dish.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, pudding mix, sour cream, oil, eggs, and warm water. Mix until well combined and smooth.
  3. Gently fold in the Nestle Toll House chocolate chips.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  5. Bake for 45–55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out mostly clean (a few melted chocolate spots are okay!).
  6. Remove from oven and let cool in the pan for about 15 minutes. Then invert onto a wire rack to cool completely.
