Ingredients
- 1 cup raw honey (preferably organic)
- 10–12 fresh garlic cloves, peeled and lightly crushed
- 1 tablespoon whole cloves
- Optional: a small piece of fresh ginger (peeled and sliced) for added flavor
🧪 Instructions
- Prepare the Jar:
- Use a clean glass jar with a tight-fitting lid. Sterilize it with hot water and let it dry completely.
- Add the Garlic:
- Lightly crush each garlic clove to release its natural oils, but don’t mash them. Place them into the jar.
- Add the Cloves:
- Drop in the whole cloves. These will infuse the mixture with a warm, aromatic depth.
- Add the Honey:
- Slowly pour honey over the garlic and cloves until they are fully submerged. Use a spoon to release any trapped air bubbles.
- Optional – Add Ginger:
- For extra warmth and health benefits, add a few slices of fresh ginger.
- Seal and Store:
- Seal the jar and let it sit at room temperature for at least 5–7 days. Open the lid once daily to “burp” the jar and release any built-up gases.
- How to Use:
- Take 1 teaspoon daily as a natural immunity booster.
- Use in marinades, salad dressings, or drizzle over roasted vegetables for a flavor punch.
⚠️ Tips & Notes:
- The mixture will deepen in flavor over time. After 2–3 weeks, the garlic will mellow and become almost sweet.
- Store in a cool, dark place for up to 3 months. Refrigeration is optional but can help preserve it longer.
