Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon Vaseline (petroleum jelly)
- 1 bar of soap (preferably mild or moisturizing, such as Dove or Ivory)
- Warm water (as needed)
- A small bowl or container
- Grater or knife (optional, for soap)
Instructions
Grate or Cut the Soap:
If you’re using a solid bar of soap, grate or finely chop about 2 tablespoons of it into a small bowl.
- Add Vaseline:
Add 1 tablespoon of Vaseline to the grated soap. - Mix Together:
Add a few drops of warm water and begin to mix until the Vaseline and soap combine into a smooth, paste-like consistency. You may use your hands or a spoon. - Usage Options:
- For Skin Softening: Apply to dry, cracked areas like heels, elbows, or hands. Leave on for 15–20 minutes, then rinse off with warm water.
- As a Hand Cleanser: Rub the mixture on hands after tough work (like gardening or mechanic work) — it helps dissolve grime and moisturize simultaneously.
- For Cleaning Leather/Shoes: Rub a small amount onto leather or synthetic surfaces to clean and shine.
Tips:
- Store in an airtight container for future use.
- Avoid using on the face if you have acne-prone or sensitive skin.
- Always test on a small skin area or hidden surface first.
