- 1 Lipton black tea bag (or any black tea)
- 4-5 whole cloves
- 1 small piece of fresh ginger (about 1 inch), sliced or grated
- 1-2 cups water
- Honey or lemon (optional, to taste)
Instructions
- Bring the water to a boil in a small pot or kettle.
- Add the sliced or grated ginger and cloves to the boiling water. Let them simmer for 5 minutes to release their flavor.
- Remove the pot from heat, add the Lipton tea bag, and let it steep for 3-5 minutes (depending on how strong you like your tea).
- Remove the tea bag and strain the tea into a cup to remove the ginger and cloves.
- Add honey or a squeeze of lemon if you’d like.
