Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons of ground coffee (preferably organic)
- 3 tablespoons of coconut oil (or olive oil or castor oil for added benefits)
- 1 tablespoon of aloe vera gel (optional, for soothing and moisturizing)
- A few drops of rosemary or peppermint essential oil (optional, for stimulating the scalp)
Instructions
- Warm the oil: In a small pan, gently heat the coconut oil on low heat. Do not let it boil.
- Add coffee: Stir in the ground coffee and mix well. Let it simmer for 5–7 minutes while stirring occasionally to infuse the coffee into the oil.
- Cool & strain: Remove from heat and let it cool completely. Strain the mixture using a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth to remove the coffee grounds.
- Add extras (optional): Mix in aloe vera gel and a few drops of essential oil for extra nourishment and scalp stimulation.
- Apply to scalp: Massage the oil into your scalp using your fingertips in a circular motion. Make sure to coat the roots and tips of your hair.
- Leave on: Leave the mixture on your hair for at least 30 minutes, or overnight for deeper treatment.
- Rinse thoroughly: Wash out with a mild shampoo and condition as usual.
Tips:
- Use 2–3 times a week for best results.
- Patch test before applying to check for any allergies.
- Consistent use can lead to noticeable improvements in 4–6 weeks.
