Mini puff pastry parcels recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed if frozen)
  • 1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)
  • ½ cup cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or feta)
  • ½ cup cooked chicken, ham, or mushrooms (optional filling)
  • 2 tbsp caramelized onions (optional)
  • Fresh herbs (parsley, thyme, or oregano), chopped
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F). Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out puff pastry on a lightly floured surface. Cut into small squares (about 3×3 inches).
  3. Place a small spoonful of your filling (cheese, chicken/ham/mushrooms, onions, herbs) in the center of each square.
  4. Fold the pastry over to form a parcel (triangle or rectangle shape). Press the edges with a fork to seal.
  5. Brush the tops with beaten egg for a golden finish.
  6. Place on the prepared tray and bake for 15–18 minutes, or until puffed and golden brown.
  7. Let cool slightly before serving.

✨ Perfect as appetizers, snacks, or a light party bite!

Would you like me to make this savory only, or also give you a sweet version (like Nutella, fruit, or cream cheese parcels)?
