Ingredients
- 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed if frozen)
- 1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)
- ½ cup cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or feta)
- ½ cup cooked chicken, ham, or mushrooms (optional filling)
- 2 tbsp caramelized onions (optional)
- Fresh herbs (parsley, thyme, or oregano), chopped
- Salt & pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F). Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- Roll out puff pastry on a lightly floured surface. Cut into small squares (about 3×3 inches).
- Place a small spoonful of your filling (cheese, chicken/ham/mushrooms, onions, herbs) in the center of each square.
- Fold the pastry over to form a parcel (triangle or rectangle shape). Press the edges with a fork to seal.
- Brush the tops with beaten egg for a golden finish.
- Place on the prepared tray and bake for 15–18 minutes, or until puffed and golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
✨ Perfect as appetizers, snacks, or a light party bite!
Would you like me to make this savory only, or also give you a sweet version (like Nutella, fruit, or cream cheese parcels)?
