- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 jar marinara sauce (24 oz)
- 9 lasagna noodles, cooked
- 16 oz ricotta cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet, cook ground beef and garlic over medium heat until browned; drain excess fat.
- Stir in marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- In a bowl, combine ricotta cheese, egg, and half of the Parmesan cheese. Mix well.
- Spread a thin layer of meat sauce in the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Layer 3 cooked lasagna noodles over the sauce.
- Spread one-third of the ricotta mixture over the noodles.
- Sprinkle one-third of the mozzarella cheese on top.
- Repeat layers twice, ending with mozzarella and Parmesan on top.
- Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake an additional 25 minutes, or until cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
